Home:
Camp Hill, PA
General Background:
- Eleven year old daughter Lexi
and significant other (Kathey) whose attraction to me I STILL
can't figure out (not that I'm complaining, mind you). Will soon
celebrate the 20th anniversary of my graduation from Belle Vernon
Area High School, a day that came as a relief to most of the
faculty. Also, Penn State class of '84. And mostly I tend to be the FanEx voice of reason and sanity.
Occasional songwriter, piano man and third 'bone in a swing band.
I have the utmost respect for standup comics, as I tried that
(and failed miserably) in a previous life.
Occupation:
General Manager for PCS One, a
division of Voicestream Wireless and D&E Communications,
Fantasy Football Columnist for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
Fantasy Stuff:
Shania Twain and a tub of Cool Whip.
Fantasy Football Stuff:
FanEx Commissioner
in the league's inaugural season.
Author of "From the
Commissioner's Office", the only (so far as I know)
weekly column dedicated to helping commissioners administer their
leagues.
Founder and
Commissioner of the Touchdown Sportswear FFL (1989), America's
premier private league, utilizing an 18 man starting lineup with
individual defensive players included.
Contributing
writer to the Fantasy Football
Informer, The Winning
Drive, and The Fantasy Football Draftbook.
Philosophy:
I can typically be found playing the contrarian role. While
everyone else is drafting stud running backs in the first couple
of rounds, you would typically find me grabbing the best QB's
and WR's on the board. And while I had to spend the third pick
on Jamal Anderson last season, this strategy also netted me Stephen Davis in the 5th round of a 16-team
draft.
Other interests:
Too numerous to mention, but I'd be remiss if I didn't
mention roller coasters (my team namesake is one), the Pittsburgh
sports scene, and an ice cold beer after mowing the lawn.
